SAUNA YOGA®

Sauna yoga means 30 minutes of different yoga styles and poses combined with peace and quiet. Light clothing is expected, the sauna is heated to 50 degrees.
Most of the sauna yoga poses are simple and they are held for a few minutes at most. It is an ideal workout for people of all ages and fitness levels.

  • The price for a yoga session is 14 €, which includes a visit to our spa and sauna centre.
  • Price for hotel guest 7 €
  • Rent of a bathrobe 3,20 €.
  • Yoga sessions are held by Liili Varvas.

     

Recommendations for SAUNA YOGA®

  • Drink 0,5-1 litre of water prior to the session.
  • Take a bottle of water with you.
  • Wear comfortable shorts and a shirt. After the session you will need a light jacket but you can also borrow a sauna coat from us.
  • Remove jewellery and makeup.
  • Not recommended for children.
 

What is SAUNA YOGA®?

Sauna Yoga is practised seated on sauna bench in a mild temperature of 50°C. A sequence of simple, yoga-based poses and the quietness of the sauna pamper the body and the mind and make way for a thoroughly relaxing experience. The combination of the mild heat and gentle yoga poses relieve tension in the body and calm the mind.

A Sauna Yoga sequence is a 30-minute exercise that consists of six poses. The poses strengthen the middle and lower body muscles, increase the flexibility of the spine and the hips and stretch the gluteal and upper body muscles. In addition, Sauna Yoga increases metabolism, reduces stress and facilitates the onset of sleep.

Sauna Yoga is suitable for everyone regardless of age, size, gender or level of fitness and requires no previous yoga training experience.
